Having my 3 year old home for the summer, has meant I have been busy keeping her occupied and finding any moment of the day to destress and unwind. While I have loved her being around and being relaxed at home. I found it personally stressful and now being 8 months pregnant, it definitely has been a challenge.
Journal
Over the past four months since my last post, I have been able to keep up with my Bujo.
It has been fun to have some form of creative outlet. Although, not everything I’ve done was for my Bujo, it was a great way for me to relax for a short time. Besides, it meant that my LO was able to be creative as well. Having Art mornings was the best!
Working in my Bujo has kept me going throughout the day. Yet, I admit it hasn’t be easy. My mind has all over the place, and I tried my best to not be stuck at my desk for too long. As well as dealing with everything that comes along with the pregnancy. Which has been a lot tougher as its my second pregnancy, so everything has just been overwhelming.
Reading Journal
There has one new perk to this second pregnancy…
I started reading books on the Kindle app again. Actually, the last book I started reading was bought back in 2021. But my husband told me I should read books rather than manga. So, after chatting with my best friend who suggested an author to look into, it went on from there.
Thus, I started book tracker in my Bujo, to write short reviews about what I had read. After finishing the first double page spread, I decided maybe starting a Reading Journal. I had a spare Archer & Olive journal in the cupboard, and I enjoyed starting a new journal.
As its my first time making a reading journal, I was unsure of what spreads to use in the book. I did look on Pinterest for ideas. I even started a Reading Journal Board to help with inspiration.
Even though I was unsure if starting a new journal was a good idea, as I started a Daily logs journal in January, I haven’t been writing in it daily as I should. I definitely been preoccupied. So, I was unsure if I was manage to fill this book in.
However, after completing August, I felt comfortable in using this new book. For September, I have made a few additional spreads.
I am looking forward to writing more reviews this month. I hope that I can improve my review writing. Although this is a personal book, I would still love to improve my writing skills. I haven’t done much writing since I left my job as an English Teacher here in Japan. I want to still keep skills going with I can.
Goals
I have so many goals for the months coming up. However, if they are achievable, that’s another matter.
Mostly, everything revolves around getting things ready for when Baby #2 decides they would like to make an appearance. Meaning we need to get everything ready, and getting things out of storage. Furthermore, I need to start planning my birthing plan and what will happen during my stay in the hospital. While I still have a few weeks to think about it, I’m sure time will creep up on me quickly.
In addition, I have small little goals for some personal time while I can. Such as, reading a certain number of books this month, allocating gaming time while my LO is at Kindergarten, and working to complete my Bujo for the rest of the year. While it doesn’t sound relaxing to some. Its perfect for me. I need to do different things while I can.
Conclusion
Overall, I really want to do some things for me while I still can. I know that dealing with 2 children under 5 years old, is going to be challenging the most. Above all, I’ll be so busy with dealing with a new-born, that I’ll have very little time to myself. In addition to getting very little outside help for long periods of time. I’ll have so much to think of, that I doubt there will be much time for personal time. I really hope everything goes the way I want. At least my LO will be at Kindergarten for most of the day. Allowing me to focus on the baby and doing the chores.
Wish me luck!
~Thank you~
